Since Michael Carrick took charge, defending and possession control have improved, but the approach last game wasn’t it. It wasn’t just execution — the intent felt too safe, too much sideways passing and not enough real threat. That’s not the United mentality.
It took a 96th-minute moment from Benjamin Sesko just to rescue a point. We can’t rely on late magic if top four is the goal. We need quicker ball movement, braver vertical passes, and more shots from distance.
