Brighton had a lot of chances to exploit City's high line (see image), but they couldn't take advantage
- Haaland scored from the penalty spot after Gomez fouled Doku in the area, and Mitoma equalised with a nice finish from just outside of the box (came against the run of play)
- Brighton handed City the ball in their own penalty area, but City could not capitalise (Bernardo and Haaland wasted their chances)
